Digital Fabrication: Adaptive Pattern Plasma Cutting
This is a project investigating cut patterns originally designed by Kevin Rotheroe at Yale SoA. We developed a work flow for allowing adjustment of the pattern size dependent upon a predefined surface. This first cut is a 4′ X 8′ sheet of 20 gauge steel. We submitted the research as a paper to ACADIA 2011. The group included Niki Desemini, Mitch McGregor, and Igor Polyakov.
